USS Hornet, a 301-ton yacht, was formerly H.M. Flagler's yacht Alicia, built at Wilmington, Delaware, in 1891. Purchased by the Navy in April 1898, she operated off Cuba during the Spanish-American War, and was damaged in action off Manzanillo on 30 June 1898.
Following the War, Hornet was employed as a Naval Militia training ship and at the Norfolk Navy Yard, Virginia. She was struck from the Navy List and sold in 1910.
