USS Natalia (SP-1251), 1917-1918.
Originally the civilian motor boat Natalia.

USS Natalia, a 55-foot motor patrol boat, was built at Stamford, Connecticut in 1909 as a pleasure craft, to a design by Whittelsey & Whitaker. She was taken over by the Navy in May 1917 and apparently entered service in the First Naval District during that year. However, she subsequently proved unsuitable for naval service and was returned to her owner, John Hayes Hammond, Jr., of Gloucester, Massachusetts, in July 1918.

This page features the only views we have concerning the motor boat Natalia and USS Natalia (SP-1251).
