USS Natick, a 40-foot motor patrol boat, was built in England as a pleasure craft. The Navy took her over in April 1917 under the name Agawam and placed her in commission the following October as USS Agawam (SP-570). Renamed Natick in August 1918, she served in Great Lakes area throughout the First World War era and was returned to her owner in August 1919.
This page features our only view of USS Natick (SP-570), which was originally named Agawam.
