USS Stephen W. McKeever Jr. (SP-1169), 1917-1919

USS Stephen W. McKeever Jr., a 136-foot patrol vessel, was built in 1911 at Noank, Connecticut, as the 223 gross ton fishing vessel of the same name. In early August 1917 the Navy acquired her from McKeever Brothers, Inc. of New York City and placed her in commission in the middle of that month. For the rest of World War I Stephen W. McKeever Jr. was used as a minesweeper in the waters of the 4th Naval District. Stricken from the list of Naval vessels in late March 1919, she was sold at the beginning of July 1919.

This page features all the views we have concerning USS Stephen W. McKeever Jr. (SP-1169).
