Thanks to Radek Literski for these rare photos of lighthouses in Mangalia, Romania. On the left is the modern Mangalia Main lighthouse. An interesting feature of this lighthouse is the sundial on the face of the tower just below the lantern. Photos of this 57 m (187 ft) lighthouse are surprisingly rare, but Literski reports that the light station is easy to find and photograph. On the right is the Mangalia Southeast Breakwater Light. This lighthouse stands on a pier controlled by the Romanian Navy and closed to the public. Literski evaded the guards to get this photo, but they chased him away immediately after it was taken. This is not recommended!
