Waxwings in upstate SC

Just today there was a flock of at least 25 Cedar Waxwings buzzing around
in the treetops on the lower slopes of Paris Mountain, Greenville, SC.
Like other correspondents, I too am used to seeing them more in late
winter/early spring than now; but there they were. Today they were
accompanied by at least 50 of the most rambunctious robins I've ever seen.
Perhaps they were drunk on dogwood berries or the like, but they were
chasing one another, bumping into our windows, attacking leaves on the
trees, and generally making a spectacle of themselves. Ah, youth.
