Steve, I save all of the plastic milk jugs. I put a funnel in the top
and sift compost into them. About a cup. Fill with water and I sit
them in sun for a few days. Then I use them to water the plants in the
garden. No set schedule. I just do it when I feel like it or when I am
tired of standing over the tomatoes willing them to ripen. I will say
though that I have been prodigiously watering a sunflower with compost
tea (just for the heck of it) that grew voluntarily in the middle of the
garden. It is monstrous!! I've never had a sunflower so big ever!
But, it could also be just that particular sunflower! Who knows?
