No its not. Its very toxic to humans and to the environment.
Serious eye and respiratory problems can result from exposure
during application. Entire trees can be killed by it, over time,
when doing weed control around them.

This is just not true at all. What information do you have to back
this up? Why distribute this kind of misinformation?
