Wow! That is incredible! I've heard of one fish living through being frozen
solid, but the owner thawed it out and it died. I'll bet it would have lived if
they would have left it alone!

Do you ever get over to rec.ponds? If not, can I tell them this tale of wonder and
delight!? I won't ever experience that here- in Dallas we rarely get ice deeper
than an inch, or two at the most, on the ponds.

I'll look for it! You might want to submit some articles to Pond and Garden
magazine, too- it doesn't pay much yet but it is published by Helen Nash who is
just starting it up after breaking off from Water Gardening Magazine.
