SrImathE Gopaladesika mahadesikaya namah:
Dearest all,

After Thirumazhisai AzhwAr Naanmukhan ThirvanthAthi on
ThiruvEnkatam, we will begin to enjoy Thirumazhisai
AzhwAr?s verses [on Thirucchanda viruttham].

The second prabhandham of Thirumazhisai is
Thirucchandha Viruttham with 120 passurams. They are
the most plesant to listen and are set in the brisk
chantham style. It is most auspicious and hence it has
the prefix of "Thiru".It is Viruttham or vrutthAntham
, a description of AzhwAr's deep Bhakthi for Sriman
NaarAyaNan as the Supreme One. In this dhivya
Prabhandham, AzhwAr refers to the Tatthva-
Hitha-PurushArthams in his first three paasurams.
Next, AzhwAr salutes the Para, VyUha forms of the Lord
and acknowledges the Lord as the One responsible for
tha samashti, Vyashti and Sarva Srishti (Creation of
every kind as Jagath-KaaraNan) and says that it is not
easy for anyone to comprehend fully the SvabhAvam
(true nature) of the Lord, who is the antharyAmi of
all ChEthanams and achEthanams. AzhwAr states that the
anugraham of the Lord has made it possible for him to
understand His svabhAvam. [From Sri Sadagopan Swami's
article]

First verse is the 48th verse on ThiruvEnkatam.

Thus when AzhwAr sang for blessing him with His divine
darshan, the Lord shows Himself His archAvathArams;
AzhwAr rejoices and sings His paramOpakAram (Greatest
Help) here.

You- standing majestically on the hill of
ThiruvEmkatam; reclining on the large milky ocean;
also appeared in waters and on land (as
vibahavaavathArams- Mathsya kUrma, Rama Krishna et
al); During PraLayam (dissolution) retained the
universe and beings in Your stomach; appeared as
Varaaha avatHAram (Huge Boar) and brought the bhUmi
back from troubled waters killing HiraNyAkshan; During
those good days (or time), You bless Your devotees
(Asrithars) with Your divine darshan to the extent of
their qualifications and bhakti thus declaring
Yourself as the Chief of everyone including dEvAs-
Primodial Chief.

More than vibhavAvathArams which are like the one time
heavy floods; the archAvathArams are more permanent
and are here for us to enjoy. You never ever leave the
divine place of ThiruvEmkatam and show Yourself
gracefully for us.. Also during praLayam You may have
been keeping the mountain safe within You; Thus, being
at ThiruvEmkatam, You protect both vibhUthis- namely,
leelA vibhUthi and Nithya vibhUthi. Hence such archA
is the best of the Best? Thus in every time frame You
bless us with the GREATEST form for devotees to enjoy
and be saved for redemption. So also for me, You need
to show me a way. If You say, Go to ThirumalA- fine. I
will. Or you show me some other avathArams of Yours
now, that would be great.

Vaan irundhu- Being in Paramapadham- [from there] He
came down to
kunRil ninRu- the mountain ThiruvEnkatam and He has
stood on His own accord [for our sake]
neeLkadal kidanthu- Reclining on Milky ocean..
[paaRkadal]
onRu senRu- going for getting the earth [back] during
Vaamana avathAram.. [or any of His vibhava avathAram]
onRai unDu- The cosmic matter was swallowed by Him
during praLaya [to protect the same] He is the Swami
and the Master of the matter and saves the same during
Dissolution.
onRu idanthu panRiyaay- Brought back the bhUmi
[Varaaha avathAram]

Thus He takes so many forms for our sake.. dayanidhi..
