Wiesbaden

In mid-April, 1945, an advance echelon of the 3187th SSB, including part of Company C was sent to Wiesbaden prior to the relocation of Eagle Main & Eagle Rear (12th Army Group Headquarters).

This advance echelon of the 3187th  in Wiesbaden was first billeted inthe Hotel Metropole
before moving into the SS Police Academy barracks (Rambler HQ). A-Gp HQ) Eagle Main & Eagle Rear (12 A-Gp HQ) did not officially move from Verdun to Wiesbaden until May 1-4, 1945, but my father’s signal unit must have been part of as he was in Wiesbaden by mid-April.
