God Hid His Face
Selected Poems of RAJZEL ZYCHLINSKY

Wandering

It's good to wander in your voice,
touch everything with fingertips
and go on,
travel through train stations
and not enter the cities,
go through villages
and not speak to the dogs,
sit on a great stone
somewhere near a road
and give birds food from a paper bag,
read poems
and not know what they mean,
meet people
and not ask their names –
just wander, wander,
touch everything with fingertips
and go on.
