Please join us for our annual Halloween celebration... with a twist.
The party will get started a little later than usual -- 8 o'clock in the evening -- to give your harried hostesses time to attend the nuptials of Kat Leonard and Corwin Milby (hereafter referred to as 'Catwin'). The theme of the party reflects the cherished events of the day as we come together to celebrate both their marriage and the guileless gore of All Hallow's Ev'n.
Thus, this year's theme is Zombie Wedding. Come as a gutless groom, a butchered bride. Be the pusillanimous priest or the undead usher. Movie zombies, zombie killers, wedding guests or participants: Come dressed up and enter the costume contest!
Something we should mention: We have moved. We're not in the same place as last year, and unless you've visited us recently, you probably need to check out the map.
You'll also want to check out the bill of fare. Though the party's after dinner and before breakfast, you know we always feed the maddening crowd. If you want to bring along a little something, check out that page to see what we might need.
We also have the ever-present rules. If you're a returning guest, then you know why we have 'em; if you're a first-timer, suffice to say we really do mean them. And you will go read them. It's required. And possibly funny.
The costume contest categories for this year are:
Costume contest goes on all night, prizes given at midnight. The storytelling competition (if we have enough entrants) will start around 1am.
We don't have a time limit set for this thing -- it usually goes pretty late. There will be a keg, spooky decor, bobbing for apples... and whatever else we manage to come up with. But mostly it's about showing off your creative flare and coming out to celebrate good friends, the witching hour, and some fine wintage. We can't wait!
