Dear Wieland,
I would translate the following ways:
"My Father is greater than all has given *them* to me."
"My Father who has given them to me is greater than all."
I am more inclined to follow the first rendering since it makes the statement about God more
emphatic instead of as a relative clause "who is..." which is followed by other English
translations, e.g., the NET. Furthermore, verse 29 parallels verse 28 which leads to the logical
conclusion of verse 30.
