Hello,
I was wondering if anyone could answer some questions. I know this
verse does not teach Sabellianism, but I was wondering what word would have
been used for "one," or what verb form would have been used if it did teach
what Sabellius taught? Today some people teach "there is no Trinity; it's
all Jesus." This verse, among others, I believe, can help refute them. I
would presume that most people on this list are "orthodox" as concerning God
and His nature. (Note: Perhaps John 17:22 can help). I deal with many
cults, so this verse comes up often. I am just seeking the best way to
explain it to someone that knows nothing of Christ, nor His Word.
