In reply to Jason Hare’s playful jibe :
There are obviously many motivations to study Greek, to read the Greek
Classics or just out of a love for the language – and probably a few more
that I am not aware of. However, if a Christian believer learns Greek in
order to read the New Testament, it is because he is convinced that there is
something there that is valuable. And that God had a hand in its
composition. There are, of course, other motivations for reading the New
Testament. I would not presume to question those. Read away, for whatever
reason.
