The verb in question is EPITREPW; although "entrust" is the first gloss
given in LSJ, the sense "give direction to" or "direct" ('turn toward')
might better yield a sense of its range. As I indicated in my earlier
response to this question, there's been a lot of discussion of this text
over time on this list; here's a message I sent to the list last year:
