Dear Harold,
I agree with you about the *origin* of the expression gabar min.
I think however that the expression shows also we cannot exclude that in
Hebrew "to be victorious" or "being stronger" *could* be followed by min,
for "to be victorious over" is also a comparative expression.
And there is no problem with a hebraism in the Revelation.
I see this as a possibility. My first thought (comparing with THREIN EK) is
another.
