One of the exercises from Mounces workbook is part of 1 clem. 65:2. It reads: hH CARIS TOU KURIOU hHMWN IHSOU CRISTOU MEQ' hUMWN KAI META PANTWN...TWN KEKLHMENWN hUPO TOU QEOU KAI DI' AUTOU, DI' hOU AUTWi DOXA,... QRONOS AIWNIOS APO TWN AIWNWN EIS TOUS AIWNAS TWN AIWNWN. AMHN.
My attempt at translating this is as follows; The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you and with all...of those who have been called by God and through him, through whom to him be glory,...eternal throne for ever. Amen.
(The disjointed bit at the end maybe due to my tranlation or it may be because of the missing piece.)
My question is;
Who does hOU refer to? And who does AUTWi refer to. (Or can't this be determined from the Greek text without context?)
Any comments on my translation are welcome.
Thank you.
Bert de Haan.
