DEDEMENOS GAR EN CRISTWi IHSOU ELIPIZW hUMAS
ASPASMENOS EANPER QELHMA Hi TOU AXIWQHNAI ME EIS TELOS
EINAI

It would appear that ASPASMENOS completes ELIPIZW, "I
hope to greet you..." I could not find the participle
functioning this way in Wallace. Wouldn't an
infinitive be expected in the GNT? Does the Nom. Ptc
function this way in the GNT?

George, you might want to check the accents on
ASPASMENOS at ccel. My Greek teacher has suggested I
not learn the accents (he tells me to spend that time
reading), but it looks awkward to me, even in light of
EANPER. There are two accutes, one over the second A
and one over the E, but EANPER also is fully accented,
I think.
