Gal 3:23 PRO TOU DE ELQEIN THN PISTIN hUPO NOMON EFROUOUMEQA  
SUGKLEIOMENOI EIS THN MELLOUSAN PISTIN APOKALUFQHNAI.

(2) The τοῦ (TOU) is simply the genitive article for the articular  
infinitive TOU ELQEIN; the genitive case is required by the  
preposition PRO "And before the coming of faith ... " or "And before  
faith came ... "
