You are right, it was a typo.
The correct combinations are:

ά type ;a
ὰ type ]a
ᾶ type [a
ἀ type 'a
ἁ type "a
ἄ type /a
ἅ type ?a
ἂ type \a
ἃ type |a
ἆ type =a
ἇ type +a

ᾲ type {ctrl} {alt} ]a
ᾷ type {ctrl} {alt} [a
and so on
