In Hebrews 9:12 we read of Christ that "AIWNIAN LUTRWSIN hEURAMENOS." Hebrews 9:9 seems to set the context by speaking of how "the one who did the service" (i.e., the high priest) was himself affected by the sacrifice. Why should we understand the middle voice hEURAMENOS as anything but reflexive and therefore describing how Christ was himself affected by his sacrifice? We see Christ [seemingly?] affected by the offering of his own blood in Hebrews 7:27 [though I do not believe Christ sinned], and esp. Hebrews 13:20.
Thanks for your input,
