[B-Greek] cousin?

Thanks George,
I take it that ANEYIOS means "cousin," but I call my sister's son my
nephew; and my mother's sister's son my cousin.
Young's Literal says "nephew."
KJV says "sister's son" (is this not nephew?)
My 1832 Living Oracles says "nephew" (I think this is from James
MacKnight)
My big old heavy and hard to read 1599 Geneva says "coufin." (good for
them!)
But my 1537 Matthew's says "sister's son."
Everyone I have checked since the 1901 ASV says "cousin."

As to why newer translators "call this 'cousin'", it's because that is
the meaning of the term.  I'm not sure which "older translators" you
might reference since the AV and ASV render this as "sister's son" (i.e
"cousin") and "cousin" respectively.  You might refer to Tyndale or the
Geneva Bible or some other older translation, but I rather doubt that.
LSJ gives ἀδελφιδέος [ADELFIDEOS] or ἀδελφιδεύς [ADELFIDEUS] and
ἑξάδελφος [ECADELFOS] for "nephew."

ANEYIOS - Col.3:10
Why did the older translators call this "nephew" and the newer
translators call this "cousin?"
Was some use of this word in another document clarify the meaning?
