My attempt:
For if he sanctions[1] a believing woman/wife living with an unbeliever, he has established a precedent[2], not to be virtuous, but to stand affront[3] God with blasphemy.
[1] LSJ (s.v. συμβαίνω A. II.) gives "come to an agreement, come to terms"
[2] or "has made customary"
[3] LSJ (s.v. διαβαίνω A. I.) gives "μεγάλα δ. ἐπί τινα to go with huge strides against"
