Congratulations to the football team for winning their game opener 30 — 6 over Phillips on 9-12-07.
Highlights are:

  • Denzel Ingram had 2 touchdowns both 60 yards and took the first play of the game for a touchdown.
  • Doug Parrish scored twice but they both were called back.
  • Dylan Arant scored on a 20 yard touchdown pass from Drew Davis.
  • Drew Davis scored on a scramble around the end, threw a TD pass and the 2-point conversion was capped off by Chris Watkins.

The Cougar Defense was awesome. Leading the way at linebacker were Max Daum and Dylan Arant. The defensive line was just as good with James O’Grady and Andrew Wade-Bell stopping Phillips. Outside linebackers were hitting hard with Chris Watkins causing a fumble and Dylan Arant there to recover it. The entire team did a great job. The next game is on Sept. 26 @ Stanback.
