Camouflage Measure 31-32-33 Series, Design 3A


Drawing prepared by the Bureau of Ships for a camouflage scheme intended for aircraft carriers of the Essex (CV-9) class.
Design 3A in Measure 32 was used on USS Intrepid (CV-11), on the port side of USS Franklin (CV-13), and on USS Hancock (CV-19).
In Measure 33, Design 3A was used on USS Hornet (CV-12).
This plan shows the ship's port and starboard sides, bow, stern, and island ends. It is marked "Approved by EW 7/19/43".
