"One of the six-inch stern guns on the USS Leviathan, the biggest ship in the World. The former German liner carried a battery of eight of these guns for protection against the U-boats, as well as two 'Y' guns which hurled depth bombs loaded with TNT. She was attacked several times by the undersea pirates and according to officers of the vessel one attacking sub was sunk by a shell from one of the six inch guns."
