At the Captain of the Yard's quarters, Washington Navy Yard,
D.C., during the Civil War. These men appear to be U.S. Army
(or perhaps Marine Corps) officers.
The cast iron fence in the foreground is identical to that located
in front of Navy Yard Quarters "B" in 1991. Door and
window spacing also appears to be the same as that of Quarters
"B", but the porch columns are entirely different.
