Undergoing repair, circa 1917.
Built at Glasgow, Scotland, in 1890 and formerly named Boston, this steamer was purchased by the Navy on 22 October 1917 and assigned the registry ID number 1651. Under repair at that time, she was later determined to be unsuitable for service and was stricken from the Navy list on 1 March 1918, without ever having been commissioned. She was sold on 4 March 1919.
