USS St. Johns

Underway during World War I, while serving as a liberty party boat. This photograph was possibly taken from USS Iowa (Battleship # 4) in the Hampton Roads area, Virginia, in 1918.
Built in 1878, this side-wheel passenger steamer was chartered by the Navy in 1917 and returned to her owner on 10 June 1919.
