Virginia (American Fishing Vessel, 1908)
In port, possibly upon completion of construction in 1908 or
when rebuilt in 1911. She was renamed Dolphin by 1918.
This "menhaden fisherman" was considered for Naval
service and even reported as having been commissioned on 7 February
1919 as USS Dolphin (SP-318). She was, however, not actually
taken over by the Navy.
The original print is in National Archives' Record Group 19-LCM.
