S.S. Eastern Queen
(American Freighter, 1918)

In port, possibly on 22 July 1918, when she was inspected by the Thirteenth Naval District.
Built by the Kawasaki Dockyard Company of Kobe, Japan, as Tofuku Maru, this steamer was renamed Eastern Queen when acquired by U.S. Shipping Board. The ship was transferred to the Navy on 19 October 1918 and placed in commission on 26 October as USS Eastern Queen (ID # 3406). She was decommissioned and returned to the Shipping Board on 19 April 1919.
