Alice, a 60-foot motor boat, was built at Morris Heights, New York, for use as a pleasure craft. She was acquired by the Navy in May 1917, placed in commission as USS Alice (SP-367) in September of that year, and served for the rest of World War I in the New York City area on dispatch and patrol duties. No longer needed by the Navy after the first months of the post-war era, Alice was decommissioned in May 1919, stricken from the Navy list in July and sold in August 1919.
This page features our only views of the motor boat Alice, which served as USS Alice (SP-367) in 1917-19.
