Arcady (American Steam Yacht, 1898).
Served as USS Arcady (SP-577) in 1917-1919

Arcady, a 167-ton steam yacht, was built at New York City in 1898. She was purchased by the Navy in late May 1917 and placed in commission as USS Arcady (SP-577) early in the following month. For nearly all of the remainder of World War I she was assigned to section patrol service in the vicinity of Boston and Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Her base was shifted to New London, Connecticut, in October 1918. Decommissioned and stricken from the Navy list in May 1919, Arcady was sold in September of that year.

This page features the only view we have concerning the steam yacht Arcady, which was USS Arcady (SP-577) in 1917-1919.
