Served as USS Old Colony (SP-1254) in 1917-1918 and as the British Navy ship Old Colony

Old Colony, a 4779 gross ton coastal passenger steamship, was built in 1907 at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was acquired by the U.S. Navy in November 1917 and commissioned as USS Old Colony (SP-1254) for passage across the Atlantic. Upon her arrival in Great Britain she was turned over to the Royal Navy, which commissioned her as HMS Old Colony in June 1918. She was sold out of British service in March 1920.
