Talofa (American Steam Yacht, 1910).
Served as USS Talofa (SP-1016) in 1917-1919
Talofa, a 101-foot steam yacht, was built in 1910 at
Neponset, Massachusetts. Chartered by the Navy in April 1917,
she was commissioned as USS Talofa (SP-1016) shortly afterwards
and served in New England waters during, and shortly after, World
War I. The craft was returned to her owner in, or about, April
1919.

which was USS Talofa (SP-1016) in 1917-1919.

Talofa (American Steam Yacht, 1910)
Photographed prior to World War I.
This small yacht was leased by the Navy on 28 April 1917 and
commissioned on 8 May 1917 as USS Talfoa (SP-1016). She
was returned to her owner on or before 24 April 1919.
The original print is in National Archives' Record Group 19-LCM.
