Alamingo (YTB-227, later YTM-227), 1945-1964

Alamingo, a 410-ton harbor tug, was built at Camden, New Jersey. Placed in service in February 1945, she operated in Florida waters until 1947, and was then transferred to Norfolk, Virginia. In late 1956, Alamingo's operating area was changed to the New York area. She was reclassified YTM-227 in 1962 and was stricken from the Navy list in September 1964.

This page features our only view of Alamingo.
