Previously civilian yacht Kajeruna (1902)

USS Kajeruna, a 147 gross ton steam yacht, was built for civil use at Erie Basin, New York, in 1902. While under private ownership, she was successively named Hauoli, Seminole and Kajeruna. Taken over and placed in commission by the Navy in May 1917, she served on patrol duties through World War I in Hampton Roads and Chesapeake Bay. USS Kajeruna left active service soon after the Armistice and was returned to her owner in January 1919.

This page features all the views we have concerning USS Kajeruna (SP-389) and the civilian yacht Kajeruna.
