USS LST-4, a tank landing ship of the LST-1 class, was built at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Commissioned in February 1943, she was active in the Mediterranean area during World War II. LST-4 participated in the invasions of Sicily and Salerno in July and September 1943. In 1944, she was involved in the Anzio-Nettuno operations and the Invasion of Southern France. Decommissioned after the end of World War II, LST-4 was stricken from the Navy List in June 1946 and was sold for scrapping in September 1947.
