USS Margo (SP-870), 1917-1918

USS Margo, a 34-ton patrol motorboat, was originally built in 1913 at Camden, New Jersey, as a civilian pleasure craft. She was leased by the Navy in June 1917, armed and placed in service. Margo operated in the Delaware River area through the rest of World War I. She was returned to her owner in December 1918.

Photographed in 1917-1918.
Built in 1913, this motorboat was acquired and commissioned on 14 June 1917 for use as a patrol boat. She was returned to her owner on 4 December 1918.

The original is in National Archives' Record Group 19-LCM.
