USS Pentucket (1904-1937, later YT-8)

Pentucket, a 230-ton harbor tug, was launched at the Boston Navy Yard, Charlestown, Massachusetts, in July 1903. Completed early in 1904, she soon began service at the New York Navy Yard. The tug was assigned to that facility and the Third Naval District (which included the New York City area) until about 1933, then was transferred to the Philadelphia Navy Yard. When the Navy implemented its hull number system in mid-1920, she was designated YT-8. Stricken from the list of Navy vessels in December 1936, Pentucket was sold in January 1937.

This page features all the views we have concerning USS Pentucket.
