USS Seminole (1898-1900)

USS Seminole, a 122-ton tug, was built in 1879 at Camden, New Jersey, for commercial use. Purchased by the Navy in June 1898, she served at the Boston Navy Yard during and after the Spanish-American War. Seminole was transferred to the War Department in March 1900.
