Another cosponsor is The Academy of Political Science which was founded in 1880 and had Woodrow Wilson as one of its earliest members. Through books and its principal publication, POLITICAL SCIENCE QUARTERLY, the Academy conducts scholarly examination of political institutions, processes, and public policy and seeks to channel social science research in understandable ways to political leaders and the general public. Support has also been provided by The Italian Academy for Advanced Studies in America, which participates in diverse intellectual activities on the Columbia campus.
The Center for Political Leadership and Participation at the University of Maryland at College Park is providing support for young scholars to attend the conference.
