Assumption 2: The Flow Rate is Constant

The next assumption we are going to make is that the flow rate through our volume remains relatively constant with respect to time. Given our assumption that the volume is constant, we know the flow rate in ought to equal the flow rate out. We expect that both these flow rates will be roughly constant with respect to time.
