Content/Overall Organization
- I am extremely impressed with how many suggested sites are presented in
this module. There has obviously been a lot of research done on this topic,
so I commend you!
- I am also impressed with the interactive collaboration.
- At the bottom of the pages in this module there is usually a link to the
next sequential page. I do not think this is necessary. It's an excellent
way to accommodate the user, but the navigation bar serves the same purpose.
General Suggestions/Comments:
- A summary of the module was suggested in the last alpha test. This is
definitely an excellent idea, as it would give the user a basic idea of
review of Electric Potential.
Page-Specific Suggestions:
- Definition of Potential: Collaborate:
In regards to the first question, when the answers are selected, new windows
pop up. In each of these windows it is a good idea to link the user to the
specific term in the glossary, but it is not also necessary to have a link
to the Project Links Glossary as well.
- Parallel Plates Concepts: I like how
the word red is actually colored red. Any use of color (especially red)
is always a great way to help the user remember various concepts.
Use of Alternate Media
- When discussing equipotential surfaces and lines on the Parallel Plates
Concepts page, it would be nice to see a link to a site with more information
as only the definitions are given.
HTML Programmer Notes
- Please check to make sure that the fonts are consistent throughout the
module.
- Please make sure that whenever the symbol for theta is used, that it is
not italicized.
- One Point Charge Concepts: In the third
text section, I believe that the equation should be epsilon with a subscript
of zero. If this is the case it must be lowered to read so.

Platform/Browser-Specific Problems
- Netscape Navigator:
- The arrows in the navigation bar which point to the present page are
not always present.
- For some reason this module ran twice as slow with Netscape Navigator
than with Internet Explorer.
- Internet Explorer: None
