Greetings
I use honey and rice syrup, barley syrup, Mo, etc. etc. The honey if diluted seems to work fine if you use the raw variety that has not been heated or filtered {typical store stuff}you stand to get more whole enzymes and pollens which will give the B/F more complexes to work with for their needs, they will select like the plants what they need. I do not seriously think anyone would make a tea with a single sugar source unless that was all they had! Most of you tea brewers in the USA have electricity and water so complex sugars should not even be a issue.
