[compost_tea] Update from the ICTC

Hi everyone,

Time for an ICTC update. You haven't heard from the ICTC in awhile, mostly =

because of all the work it takes to get this organization going. Thank you =

to
everyone who has sent in memberships to support the ICTC and its mission.
You are needed and appreciated. If you have not been back to the website,
new pages are continually added, so please stop by regularly.

One of our big priorities at this point is to gather membership?all types o=

f
compost tea users are welcome?from the homeowners to the grower, the
supplier to the sprayer. So the ICTC's membership drive is on, and we are
getting our presence out to as many groups as possible. The ICTC needs
your support and memberships.

One of the ICTC's first challenges is communicating with the NOP and the
NOSB on the proposed new task force and potential rulings on compost tea. =

We have written Richard Mathews and are in the midst of a letter to the NOS=

B.
A copy of the letter to the NOP is posted on the listserv as a file. At the=

 same
time we are compiling scientific data around many of the issues that concer=

n
these regulators and will post this on our website as part of the scientifi=

c
foundation of the ICTC.

As the ICTC moves forward in correspondence with the NOP and NOSB, we
will keep you posted. It appears that they have been slow in responding in =

the
past, however, we will persist and work with other strategies so that the v=

oice
of the compost tea industry is heard and we have a voice in our future.

Best regards,

Tina C Peterson
Executive Director
International Compost Tea Council
