[compost_tea] Re: Re: SoilSoup Bioblender
I agree with Frank that they have been too spendy, as we say in Oregon, but
they still work. A SoilSoup bioblender is probably worth a hundred bucks.
What is the fungal problem, though?
Unlike Frank, I will delete the rest of this digest with this reply, which I
admit I forgot to do initially, even having complained about that myself.
Sorry about that.
I am amazed that 55 gallons of tea could be made with a soilsoup machine,
and hard-pressed to believe there was sufficient air added, which speaks
well of the basic combination of composts and water. Must be good DO and
nutrient conditions. Tells me steeped or stirred teas, filtered
appropriately could be equally beneficial, and suggests to me we could be
using a whole lot less energy to make aerated teas.
EPM's 22 gallon machine is a "tea-pumped" system. No air pump there, as far
as I can tell. If it can produce a fungal tea, I don't get how a soilsoup
unit wouldn't do it too, and I will certainly hold on to my bioblender for
small batches, eh?
