Re: [compost_tea] bat guano
I'm with terence on the bat guano.
Add it to the compost, and let the organisms chew up the salts and excess
nitrate. About a three days to a week in a mature compost pile would be needed
to remove the load you would be putting on the system.
If you put bat guano into tea, you need to have an E. coli assessment of the
guano. If E. coli- free, then ok. If no assessment, don't use it in tea. If
you have really good organism growth, and maintain aerobic conditions, then it
should be ok, BUT YOU HAVE TO DOCUMENT good aeration, and good organism
numbers. If in doubt, add to the compost.
OK?
